About the Book

The illustrated Ketubbah is a unique artifact of Judaica. It is, first of all, a legal document virtually unchanged since talmudic times, but it is also an artistic expression of aesthetic tastes and social mores from centuries of Jewish wandering and just as much a part of today’s Jewish wedding ceremonies as it was hundreds of years ago.

This gorgeous collection of kettubim includes 48 color plates and 124 black and white photographs.
